I’m currently an Assistant Professor at the VU in Amsterdam. Whenever I’m not writing papers, running experiments or entertaining students with my lectures, I like to play intense boardgames and make less-intense music.

I am a medical doctor employed as a PhD student at the VU Amsterdam. I am fascinated by cognitive neuroscience and find myself in a captivating loop as I read about reading itself. Otherwise, I enjoy climbing, creative writing and skiing.

I’m a 2-year master’s student in cognitive neuropsychology and also work as a research assistant in the cognitive psychology department. I am involved in a behavioral and EEG study investigating parallel word processing.

I am a computational linguist doing a PhD on computational modelling of reading comprehension, supervised by promotor Martijn Meeter and copromotor Joshua Snell. Besides feeding my mind with reflections about the reading brain, I feed my body with martial arts and yoga, and my spirit with long walks and loud singing.
